The European Council has recently emphasised that hospital catering is an integral part of clinical therapy. The treatment of malnutrition is too often underestimated despite it has elevated costs, either directly or indirectly. Thefore the meals that are served to the patients must be reassessed either on the point of view of food safety but also looking at the quality level: food, offer, service and patient care. The aim of this conference is to increase awareness and train staff on the importance of the meals to support patient care.
